Um, not looking to offend here, but the 3.0 Tdi isn't exactly a musical masterpiece. The overwhelming majority of users on here have V8 petrol's, and they benefit from the volume being turned up. Then there's some V10 petrol's, and W12 petrol's too. Even the V8 Tdi sounds ok as its quite smooth.

The 6 cylinder diesel is about as agricultural sounding as an 8 ever gets, and the only time I had one, it was the primary reason I got rid of it.

So, please crack on, we love project cars - but just be aware you have a very tough audience when it comes to zorst notes....

Now by anyone's standard that noise is impeccable for a 3.0tdi, so it's got the scope to sound better than it does to begin with
