I'd be very, very surprised if Audi used the same part number for different parts

I would love too, but unfortunately I am not with the car currently.
 I believe its the same part number for all D2 A8/S8s.  I was just hoping someone could confirm this before I purchase a replacement. Many thanks

I just had a look online and the difference seems to be whether or not it's left or right (obviously) and whether it also has the reflector and bulb carrier (for rear fog presumably). i.e. RHD or LHD version.
According to Vagpart.com where I looked all D2's are exactly the same, irrespective of year or PF/FL. I prefer to have 2 rear fogs rather than the standard 1, so bought the missing bulb carrier (from A8parts obviously) for the non-fog side and fitted it myself. Wiring is already there taped up; you just punch out the blanking plastic to use the socket which is already moulded in. For a reflector I bought some silvered/metallised adhesive tape and fed it into the hole in segments as dismantling the unit didn't look feasible.

DVB-T and XCarlink now removed as redundant. 2016 Volvo V40 T5 Cross Country (4WD) with ALL the toys including adaptive cruise etc. etc. Osmium Grey with Blonde/Charcoal leather interior. Polestar performance "optimisation". (Even rarer than a D2 S8!) Oh, and a brand new engine at just under 30,000 miles on the factory one!  Finally: gone, but not forgotten..... 1998 D2 PF S8. Agate Grey/Platinum. Every option (I think) except electric rear seats, Tiptronic steering wheel, ski hatch, towbar & dimming door mirrors. e.g. Cruise control, NavPlus/TV, Bose, GSM, Xenons, Solar roof, Parking sensors, Alcantara/leather everywhere of course. (internal dimming mirror added later)1998 (very early) Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec; ABS/TCS, Heated screen/mirrors, Aircon. Added Auto-dim mirror, Leather seats, Trip computer, Cruise control, OEM Ford SatNav with CD changer. And before that a lot of Rover 800s, a few oddities, a lovely Triumph Dolomite 1850HL with Overdrive and way back in my schooldays an Austin Seven aka Mini 850!

The one I need is the N/S wing cluster. I thought both PFL and FL models used the same cluster. I think the rear bumper is different on the FL model to allow for the chrome strip underneath the light clusters. Unless someone on here knows otherwise. Thanks, David
