When it rains, you mean?

That'd be cool, especially if it could somehow be active while parked. It'd be particularly useful in the typically unpredictable British summer if you've left them open on a hot day. It'd be even cooler if it could reopen them when the rain stopped. Now there's a challenge for you!

Default Rain & Closing

Indeed when it rains later cars had the option some might have just been sunroof but also i've seen sunroof and windows...

I was thinking I might later add a sunroof close mod... not too fused about the windows... and it should be too difficult to reopen.

A good few years ago I was actually thinking of adding a wind screen washer delay so if I activated the windscreen washers and the sunroof was open it would auto close first then wash, then re-open... I still like the idea of adding this but....

Just finding the dam time to fiddle with stuff...

I know what you mean.

I'm an electronics design engineer by profession. When I was younger I used to spend hours designing, building and installing circuits to modify my old bangers. these days I have neither the inclination nor the time to spend hours fiddling with my cars, especially when that time can be better spent earning money. The motivation is still there -- I love doing mods and having new toys -- but it just makes more sense to pay someone to do them for me these days. Maybe someday if I retire ...

Nice.

I saw people installing this senior on estate VAG cars to automatically activate the rear windscreen wiper.

But how will it look on D2 windscreen and did you guys use some sort of OEM trim?

Could you post picture please how it sits on windscreen?
From inside and outside please.
