Did you switch it off prior to departing for a drive, I forgot to do this once and it said unavailable until I turned it it off and went for the next drive.

Also from reading your symptoms I'm wondering if the -2.7 means the beam is pointing up at the sky, could explain why it only see trucks.

I think a clockwise turn of the lower screw should bring it down

Thanks Matt for the diagram, where dd you get it from?

After a number of drive cycles today, following the 1/4 turn clockwise on the vertical adjustment I now have the below. I know which is horizontal now, just need to work out which way to try tweaking that. Still does not pickup cars, so maybe its also pointing off left/right.

Progress in the right direction, I like it, if you don't mind me asking which block do you think does what?

i am not sure yet, as altering the vertical seems to have altered both readings. its still not picking up cars in front.

Tomorrow I am driving up to Boston in Lincolnshire, so when on the A1 I'll try moving left to right whilst following another car and see if it picks anything up then try to correct that.

Hopefully I can persuade it to pickup a lock on a lorry or something on the drive up tomorrow, I'll scan again and see what readings I have then. If the other reading pops up about the same as before, then I'll tweak the vertical adjustment another 1/3rd clockwise and redo the basic settings.

First of all Great write up ! And I have a question.. what are the actually operating parameters?

Is it all ment to be zero ? ...

I have the same problem on mine .. but it only started doing this since a stone hit the acc cover and broke it.. it's been replaced with a non W12 acc cover because Audi say it's part of the grill ... dose any one have the part number for the W12 ACC cover plate ...

And manny if you know what the parameters are let me know and il check mine ... I'm stuck in bed with vertigo at the moment

They are meant to be less than 0.5 degress so mine is just inside

I'm going to try and get it closer at some point because I can feel a bias to one side that is noticeable on sweeping bends.

And your ACC cover is 4E0 854 511 AA

Posting this from Boston, Lincs.

I managed to pickup and follow a lorry with ACC switched on, on the A16 so just done a quick check of the angles.

I currently have the below showing.

From adjusting the vertical screw 1/4 turn the value in measuring block 2 reduced significantly whereas the value in block 11 has returned to about where it was before.

I just need to work out if I need to turn the horizontal adjustment clock or anticlock to get closer to zero.

Mmmm interesting, you went from this.

To this after a basic setting

To this
From adjusting the vertical screw 1/4 turn the value in measuring block 2 reduced significantly whereas the value in block 11 has returned to about where it was before.

So I will wait with anticipation to see what you get on your return journey after you tweak the horizontal screw.

I got quite a jump in my figures from the last set of readings but its still working????
