Diesel and Benzin. Engine size does not matter. I have seen even Audi A3 1.2 fsi with webasto.

No you can get them for petrol's too, but i thought they were electric and a second battery is fitted, but i have been wrong before.

The diesels use fuel. Most Diesels have the "Auxiliary heater" anyway D3's certainly, so you're halfway there already and it's a quick upgrade to "Parking heater" Webasto offer an upgrade package.

It might not be as easy as it looks to install it on. Definitely must have someone who has done it before and knows the drill. In my case the heater is located in front left side bumper. These machines needs some maintenance from time to time obviously otherwise your car might get nasty damage like on this movie.
Some old lady passing by thought the car got on fire. She called 112...

OK. I have a Webasto diesel fuelled space heater on my motorhome. The exhaust does make it look like you have a small fire problem under the vehicle! I probably wont go to Italy then. What a bunch of incompetents!

The owner was explaining that this a webasto heater running all winter time and that is not smoke what they see but steam which is very normal for such technology.

Imagine if this was your car instead ...

Webasto uses fuel from the tank to generate heat, but power from the battery to runs pumps that circulate the coolant and also run the interior blower fans. For this reason, it comes with a second battery.......

Webasto heater is standard fit on at least all the A6/Q7/D3 Diesels and probably lower models too however it doesnt come with the circulating pump and timer/remote controls, but this is a simple enough retrofit. This is because the diesel blocks take a long time to warm so they fit webasto as standard to warn coolant quicker to make heating work when cold and warn oil too I guess.

It is not fitted as standard to petrols though as they warn up much quicker....
