Hey fellas - it was me driving!
A fella drove into my rear and that morning I got taken back home and the to hospital and so couldn't speak to anyone other than Nick, did Sneddon emails out but couldn't directly speak to anyone.
It was a minor tap but has scratched the car, I was devastated, never had anyone drive into me before and terrible timing. Revo would never abuse a car or ordinariyl deliver a car damaged, it had never happen before and made ECM worse by the fact it was Nicks BEAUTIFUL S8! Revo are, I can assure you, very careful and tight on vehicle care, a very isolated and very unfortunate incident!! Sorry Nick!!!

I'm actually not at Revo now and am taking a couple of weeks to get all hospital appointments out the way but apologies for taking so long to get on here!

Nick, as I said on my Pm's, really sorry I didn't get to speak to you personally but pls do call if you want to!

I will be at the meet this weekend and catch up with everyone and to everyone who's PM'd me I will be in touch I promise, not dissapperared but HAVE to get done a hospital now as been putting off and buggered me up.

Genuinely not very well at min but be back fighting fit again soon.

SORRY NICK!

Okay, I'll say it.

What about all the additional mileage, whose responsible for that? Sounds like someone was just having a fun in Nick's car, and on his petrol. A 2-3 mile road test I would deem as acceptable. As a Revo customer I feel I am being reasonable and have a right to an explanation before I feel comfortable putting any more work their way.

Guys,

Lets not all get on a witch hunt here. Ben has clarified the situation and Revo are dealing with it. I would hope we don't have trial by forum on here.

Accidents happen and there may be a good explenation. But as Nick has good standing on here I would hope that we will all wait until the process is complete and Nick can make comment on how it was dealt with.

Revo have prefered status on the forum which came about due to Ben's employment. Since then many members have used Revo with excellent revues. I'm know they are keen to keep that good rep.

So lets leave this one for a while and let Nick report on how the process goes.

Just so we all know as part of my resettlement process while leaving the Navy I have spent seveal weeks working at Revo and I am currently there now. I have found them to be an honorable group of people who care about their reputation and I'm sure will do the right thing.

I think you are all jumping to conclusions. firstly i know ben was driving but the accident was not his fault, the other person drove into the back of him ! This accident could have happened to any one of us at any time. Secondly i dont know if ben was droping the car back at this point but i would assume he was dropping it back as it was collected then delivered after the work had been done. AS for the extra miles do you really think that 2 or 3 miles is a good test drive to make sure everything is ok ? Ben has on many ocassions taken my car for extended test drives just to make sure all the car is in perfect working order and i have never had a problem with that. I also know there are no boy racers that work at revo or test pilots and i am sure all the employees take care of all the cars in there care. I would still be prepaired to take me car to revo or to ben to have work done as i have always had the best of service from both

Given Nick's original posts, I'm not that surprised at the responses generated tbh. My assumption was that the car was at a large Audi conglomerate and been driven by the pimply car wash kid/trainee, when it shouldn't have been, which clearly was not the case.

Following CtL's post, perhaps until such time as Nick is happy with the circumstances surrounding events and that the car is returned to its original condition this thread needs putting somewhere offline to the majority of us?

I brought it back to deliver it once, after an extended road test as we were evaluating for software too, and then had to drive another 100mile round trip back to work as warning light came on and I hadn't got my lead with me. It probably did more like 150miles more than I originally anticipated but none of these were gratuitous or neglectful, I certainly wasn't playing in Nicks car - I'd NEVER do that. Nor would anyone still a Revo either.
I'm not at Revo but I can vouch for their integrity and care for customers and cars!
Wether a car is worth £50 or £50,000 it's someones pride and joy and deserves to be treated as such. My car got smashed (badly) at a garage a few months ago and I was LIVID, they tried to hide it too which compounded the issue, so I know how it feels but this is not a case of lack of respect or care for Nicks car.

I think we should leave it for Nick & Ben to sort it out. After all he's apologized and made his explanation. As for saying someone ragged the car its not fair to state thing like that when not all the facts are publicly known.

Appreciate that post, thank you. I'd never rag someones car, I may be hard on brakes at the Nurburgring () but I alway treat cars with respect.

Looking forward to seeing everyone this weekend.

I initially thought people at Revo were having fun whilst the boss was away, I didn't say Ben ragged a car whatsoever. I asked for an explanation as a customer and got it, thank you and see you on the weekend.

Fair enough, I take it back given what I have read now.
