Hi there,

I've missed the hot dog, but it would be almost worth stripping it and selling for parts....Ian ???

I'm kinda glad they are quite cheap....otherwise i wouldn't have bought mine...But they are *VERY* good value for money....probably because not many people even know what an A8 / S8 is.

However, all that luxury, all that power, all that aluminium (so doesn't rust) and on LPG and of a reasonable age its cheap tax and good to run

Oh I am not about to sell, as I mentioned I was looking with a friend and got curious.. even less inclined now as I am seemingly only able to trade in against a Microwave.
(with Rottiserie feature)
I have stereo speakers worth more than this car !!

I WON!!! GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLL!

I wish I was as lucky with the lottery.

Can I have mustard and tomato sauce on the hotdog Ta.

Seriously though, the trade in prices for these cars is a joke, especially if they're getting on in years.
I'm pretty sure this car will be a future classic due to the numbers produced , the Club scene which is rapidly gaining momentum and the care and time the owners put into maintaining these great cars.

It's like any car.. once they hit a certain age, they don't know how to deal with depreciation.. It's still scary when someone offers you more than you know you'd get for the parts though

A monkey!

The bloke plainly wasn't into your car judging from his opening comments.

I sold a 1996 4.2 for 2000 quid, cash, earlier this year.

I still know guys in the car trade and at least up here in Scotland the market is much firmer than you might expect.

I hope you told him to blow his price out his arse!

Ooopsy........just found page 2!

Grim news - I take back the 'I'm not selling' post and have to report .... that over the weekend after being offered £1500 I took the bait and sold her on. I know I know you will all want to set fire to my house now, but its 165k on the clock and counting, has had NO issues making me think I am in for one soon, needs a good service anc cambelt, neither of which I can afford to do right now for a car I don't use all the time since company car.. and as I am about to change jobs and pay for my own fuel, economically the time was right. Only a 2.8 but when you do 55k a year, filling up every other day it adds up.
Suffice to say enjoyed the time here, and will be back when I get the next one!
(will look in now and then to see whats what no doubt!)
