Impressive.. I was only about 2 mpg lower in my 4.2TDi on the most boring 60 mph motorway journey of my life

I was just in the mood for being silly.

The 4.2TDi's seem to be very good on a run, I was using every trick in the book today and don't think I even saw 60mph in the 3.0

I did have A/C on, as it was warm and doesn't seem to make any difference to mpg on the m'way.

Is that Frank Sinatra you've got playing?

My mate couldn't get over 49 to reach 50mpg in a diseasel Golf when going Norfolk to Belgium via Dunkirk. 47mpg is decent indeed

I drove along Newton Road four times today, all well before 15:00 but you would not have spotted me, I was in a white bus.
Mind you might have heard the noisy Merc engine!!

We got close a few weeks ago between Roeselare, Belgium and Keukenhof, Netherlands. It's the highest mpg I have ever done in the A8 and it was mostly 60-80mph on cruise control depending on the limit.

Boooooring....the less MPG the better the car is
I've tried once driving across the London 36miles like a complete ****, exhausted as **** and I've achieved 22.1MPG, wasn't worth it at all and it was the only time I did such a silly thing

On motorways I never got even close to 30MPG and recent trip to Annual Meet ended up costing me £250-£270 and no complaints

But, your results guys are impressive ...ish

I'm with Marcin on this one, I don't do many miles so why make them boring?

I reserve the right to change my opinion on this matter should my circumstances somehow change
