I've seen various price LED kits on Ebay. Just wondering if anybody has any thoughts on the price vs quality delta between them?
German Kit: £72.99 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/INTERIOR-L...romaNsniuMUIUA German Kit:£54.83 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LED-Interi...cAAOSwNSxU4iWC Czech Kit: £25.95 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Audi-A8-4E...4AAOSwFnFWASVm Also, i've seen some interior LED conversions (mainly in taxi's) that look way too bright and "cold" looking. Sorry if a dumb question but is that what you're getting when you convert to internal LED's? These are from Audi and wont fit our model but interesting to see they're getting in on the upgrade demand.. http://ext.audi.ie/accessories/websi...er-plate-bulbs Finally, are there rear light LED upgrades for 2007 MY? Mine are LED but I have an impression from reading here on the forums that there are upgrades to 2009 etc.. http://www.lltek.com/audigate/assets..._04andon_z.jpg Finally, was driving the other evening beside a 2016 Audi Q7...the lighting was just miles apart from mine which looked like i'd candles for headlights.... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

All the interior and exterior convenience bulbs (in doors + boot) are dead easy to change. Rather than looking for a 'conversion kit' just look to buy x-amount of festoon LEDs and x-amount of slot LEDs at once and you'll probably save a few £. Can't remember the exact amount needed, sorry!
The only rear light upgrade was the facelift in 2007 as in your picture link.

Thanks for your reply.
Good advice and I'll have a look on Ebay. I've a 2007 facelift but it doesn't have those newer lights so it's not the final, final, facelift model. Do we know if the facelift rear LED's will fit the 2006/7 model? http://http://www.caranddriver.com/n...-a8-auto-shows "Audi is doing the final primping to the A8, which will bow as a 2008 refresh in September at the Frankfurt auto show. The basic formula hasn't changed: Buyers still choose between a 4.2-liter V-8 and a 6.0-liter W-12, and the A8 still rides on an air suspension and has Quattro all-wheel drive. The biggest changes come in the form of new electronic safety systems. Audi Side Assist uses radar to detect cars driving in the A8's blind spots. If a driver signals to change lanes, the blind-spot indicator flashes yellow LEDs in the mirror housings to warn if the way is not clear. In addition, Audi Lane Assist uses a small camera to detect when the A8 changes lanes without signaling first. If a driver begins to wander on the highway, the A8's steering wheel vibrates as a prompt to keep the driver in his or her lane. These features aim to increase safety, especially for drivers who rack up a lot of highway miles. But in driving the 2008 Volvo S80, equipped with similar safety features, we didn't like their constant nagging. " Otherwise, changes to the A8 are minimal. The new side mirrors have built-in LED turn signals, and the car sports new wheels, paint finishes, and interior color options. The LED taillight setup also has been refreshed with a more compact, squared-off look." |
