They use a D2 in Rock and Rolla, shame what the psycho Russian guy does to it though!

Robert De Niro with a D2 S8... Sounds strangley familiar! I'm off to watch Ronin with the HiFi plugged into the TV!!

On that note, you need to get the TV hooked up that way and watch the first 10mins of the first MadMax film...... When his V8 Interceptor is dropping into anti-stall before a huge standing start - enough to make you, well, there's no word for it but "moist"!!!!!

Couldn't agree more.

Between the first chase scene and the scene where Max sees the Black Interceptor for the first time.

Much moistness .

Sorry I'm a bit of a Mad Max 1 & 2 geek.

I can feel a best car chases ever thread coming on

That first scene in Mad Max 1 is GREAT!!

"with a p.p.p.piece from here, and a p.p.piece from there...."

"ya best send a meat truck - Charlie's caught a dinner plate in the throat..."

Pure, manly class!!

I did once work for Merc (keep it quiet eh!). Some of the old ones are great.
I bought an '86 560SEL once. Not the fabulous 6.3 in that 450SEC but it was still a 300bhp 5.6 V8. Pure class - it was the same as the one Tom Skerrit "had" Drew Barrymore on the bonnet of in the film Poison Ivy.
The only thing it used more of than petrol was rear tyres!!

There's the Ronin S8 - Citroen XM chase. The S8 is planted and sure footed, There's an inevitability like a big African feline chasing down its next fluffy snack. Predatory sums it up for me.
