a victory for proper fuel, v engines and Audi

Last year, whilst on a day trip involving a couple of hundred miles my brother and i had a mpg challenge and unsuprisingly his v8 seven series lost to the mighty v6 A8 . This year the journey was repeated, this time however he was in his 2 litre manual diseasel people carrier 5 up with luggage vrs me in the 2.8 auto 5 up with luggage and with a promise of a good hiding MPG wise . At the end of the journey the numbers were revealed.....people wagon...35.8 mpg...the A8 36.2. HA! HAHAHA! Victory for Audi, Vee engines, auto boxes and indeed petrol.
