Default Revenge of the D3 of Doom

Yes.. It's back

so.. I had an interesting noise/vibration when I had stopped at one point on the Scotland meet the other week which did seem to coincide with the aircon stopping working.

I did have some strange power loss problems at the same time which seemed to occur at low revs (solution: rev the nuts off it ) suggesting that I was getting some weird stuff going on..

Anyway... Finally got round to dragging it to Glasgow Audi today, and the aircon system is blocked... Guy even reckons it may still be shrapnel from the Great Compressor Explosion of '09 that's still in the system!!

So, she's in on Tuesday for some more investigative work to see if they can clear the blockage, or if they need some parts. Thankfully, it's all under Audi warranty as the compressor and receiver/drier were changed last year (again).

The power gremlins seem to have gone away, so not sure if that means that the bits resisting in the compressor have given up, or if I had some crap get into the gearbox oil pump system and cause a little blockage which has now cleared.

Though with 2 new tyres on the back (4 new all round now), it's driving like it's on rails again and leaving the guy in the evo behind on the M6 (that's a private racetrack, not the actual M6 obviously) pretty even, maybe slightly slower for me down the slip road, but from 90+... mwahahahahaha)
