Default For Sale : MRC/ITG high flow air filter

This was bought for my D2 FL S8 but if the airbox of the PFs and A8s is the same then it will fit those models too.

Brand new, sealed, in box. £35 delivered.

A big thank you to Clive. The filter arrived safe and sound this morning. Can't wait to fit it to my car now.

Glad it arrived safely

Don't expect any huge gains but with a freer flowing airbox you will hopefully get a bit more grunt and maybe a few horsepowers

I may be stating the obvious here, but do remember to tell whoever services the car not to change the air filter but to clean & lubricate it once in a while according to the instructions.

I intend to put the sticker on the airbox. Though as its Ben who takes care of my car, I'm sure his shrewd enough to notice the difference between foam and paper filters.

I would like to have a bit more induction noise with it fitted. As for more grunt, it might make a difference now that the car is mapped and has sports cats, but I doubt it

You won't get any more induction noise from the ITG I'm afraid. I have one too, and if that's what you are after, a K&N will give you that noise.

That said, the ITG is a bloody good filter IMO.

I do not think any filter element will give You any intake noise because filter housing is designed to dampen intake noise.

If You want noise drill holes in filter housing, unfiltered side of course. Either that or conical filter and not in original housing.

Disagree, the K&N and most other cotton gauze filters do increase intake noise without having to drill the airbox.

The ITG is nice and quiet.

Well having fitted it last night, I agree there is little or no change in the intake noise. A slightly enhanced noise would have been a nice benefit of the change, but I'm not too fussed that it hasn't had an effect.
