Heat and UV reflective glass option
Well, what does that mean. I'd never really stopped to think about it to be honest.
You could get it on the D2 with the heated windscreen, and with D3 with or without the heated windscreen. Its standard only on the D3 W12, and a modest few hundred quid option available on every other D3. When your car gets the sun on it, and starts cooking inside - More of a problem for dark coloured cars - Its a combination of Heat and UV from the sun that causes this greenhouse effect. With the optional UV reflective upgrade, the glass reflects away both heat, and UV, like top end double glazing in houses. The result? The baking weather we had last week caused my car not to become a sweatbath when I came back to it. I was actually shocked. Black paint, black interior, hot weather and on getting in the car I didnt even need to open the doors or sunroof straight away. It was quite bearable. The effect of this stuff is easily as good as a having solar roof as it doesnt let the hear build up in the first place, and doesnt suck moisture in during winter. That leaves you free to have a lovely glass sunroof instead to enjoy some extra light in the cabin  What a clever piece of understated tech
