Default Cost for supply and fitting of discs, pads & caliper
Hi there. I have just been given an estimate for new front discs, pads and a caliper for my D2 3.7 Quattro Sport. It seems a tad on the high side to me at just shy of £1k all in. I have had no complaints at all with what is a reputable specialist in the past and will have a chat with them tomorrow. However, I was thinking it would be nearer £350 to £400 all in inc VAT, but perhaps I am being a bit optimistic? Has anyone else has similar work done recently? Thanks.

does seem a tad high. I had front and rear discs and pads done, a new rear caliper, new CV boot and major service all for approx £1200, and genuine Audi parts used. Local independant.

Just fitted a set of rear discs and pads to my D3 and cost just under £100

Euro car parts were under 300 quid for discs and pads (pagid) for My D3 all round, and those were the more expensive 'big' discs. Then 2 hours labour to do all 4, maybe 3 at worst.

Calipers are expensive. If it is Audi genuine parts the cost looks OK for me. I'd change brake hoses too.

Oops... Missed the caliper They're not cheap if it's a new one... And maybe another hour's labour for the faffing about to swap it over, bleed etc.

Maybe not that horrendous a price if it's all geniune Audi

Not very convenient if you need to drive car every day

Thats what i'd be looking to do. Some companys offer service exchange, so if you can't be without 8 for long you can send them yours when you get them off
