Default earthquakes, driving and allround A8 smiles

well its been an eventfull 7 weeks since i collected my first A8.

I have driven around 3000miles now and frankly i am overwhelmed.
The comfort, composure, pure driving experience and fuel consumption from the 4.0 tdi is just plain fantastic?

We Spent the weekend in Cannes, south of france last weekend, approx 300 miles from our house in italy, what a fantastic driving experience, used just over a full tank and a quarter of fuel even with the cruise control on at 88mph all the way to the centre of Cannes, then spent 96 km childishly racing a panamara along the A8 to Genoa on the way back, i was stunned by the composure and handling on the very twisty autostrada.

After a good wash and polish the car looked everybit at home along the sea front at Cannes and got alot of admiring looks even from owners of newer and more expensive machinery, i put this down to the sage green paint and spotless bodywork :-)

The down side to the last few weeks of joy was easily rectified, a very dodgy epb sensor, cleaned the contact and ty for around 20 mins with vcds to get a signal and nothing, then tried the parking brake itself and hey presto all sorted, warning lights cleared and good to go again.

Oh and the other downside has been the constant earthquakes an my home county of modena, 2 weeks now of spending nights either sleeping in the car or fully clothed and ready to escape in our apartment, very scary i can tell you. Hopefully they are winding down now, or hopefully not building up to the final big one as experts predict, not good, not good at all!

Onto the future, another oil change before summer i think and the gearbox oil done befroe our trip from italy to portugal in august, as well as AMI kit and my own copy of vcds is on the cards too afte seeing it in action from a guy i work with at ferrari.

Ciao for now

Sorry to dissapoint but I have no pics as we left in a hurry/last minute to get away from the stress of the quakes and after shocks. Do have a few of the scenery and various points around towns etc. didn't even think at the time to take pics of the car sorry.
