This is the by far and away the best specced D3 S8 or 8 I've seen to date.

Only 35 miles from me that
 good job I couldn't afford it without selling a kidney!!Does look very well spec'd - steel brakes so it's missing ceramics which most people will probably consider a good thing on cost grounds! There's another one a couple of grand cheaper that looks virtually as well spec'd but think I spy the rotor bells for ceramics in the dodgy pics of that one and no rear seat entertainment or fridge

I'd also probably avoid an S8 with ventilated seats.....
The concept sounds good, but the reality I find is that the cooling effect is marginal, and you lose the lovely sports seat with lots of lateral support in favour of the comfort seats, which I dont find as re-assuring when it comes to the B road fun stuff..... Just my opinion.....

I've only ever tried ventilated seats in my dads Lexus is and its quite disconcerting to have the family jewels blasted with freezing cold air lol

Sunroof. How could I have missed that!!!
I don't have one at the moment and often wish I did. I recently used cooled seats in Dubai, in a Lincoln. And they were brilliant. I find that leather in any weather on a run of over and hour or so, gets sticky, so cooling I'd like, but at the expense of loosing the sports seats..... Only an extended test drive will answer Adrian: If you can sell a kidney for that sort of money, tell me where, and I'll be getting myself a new(er) motor

And I've seen a few with ventilated seats where they start to look tired quicker as the seat leather gets moved around a lot more.

That's why Alcantara Sports Seats are the best solution.
 As for sunroofs I never open them, but the "solar" one I have is very pleasant to have and the only reason to have a sunroof on any A8 in my opinion.

2003 D2 FL S8. Irish Green Pearl/Beige. Solar sunroof, auto-dim mirrors, electric rear seat functions and extended leather. Ski hatch retrofit. Aftermarket reversing camera. DVB-T and XCarlink now removed as redundant. 2016 Volvo V40 T5 Cross Country (4WD) with ALL the toys including adaptive cruise etc. etc. Osmium Grey with Blonde/Charcoal leather interior. Polestar performance "optimisation". (Even rarer than a D2 S8!) Oh, and a brand new engine at just under 30,000 miles on the factory one!  Finally: gone, but not forgotten..... 1998 D2 PF S8. Agate Grey/Platinum. Every option (I think) except electric rear seats, Tiptronic steering wheel, ski hatch, towbar & dimming door mirrors. e.g. Cruise control, NavPlus/TV, Bose, GSM, Xenons, Solar roof, Parking sensors, Alcantara/leather everywhere of course. (internal dimming mirror added later)1998 (very early) Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec; ABS/TCS, Heated screen/mirrors, Aircon. Added Auto-dim mirror, Leather seats, Trip computer, Cruise control, OEM Ford SatNav with CD changer. And before that a lot of Rover 800s, a few oddities, a lovely Triumph Dolomite 1850HL with Overdrive and way back in my schooldays an Austin Seven aka Mini 850!
