S8 D2 gearbox USA rebuilt kit?

Hi,

My 1998 S8 D2 340PS cambelt has broken on highway, I've bought another 81000 miles engine but my gearbox has 190000 miles and I'd like to give it a refresh.

Is there some US rebuilt kit to restore it?

Try finding a ZF distributor in the US (there should be plenty) and they can help you out with the parts you'd need.

Odd. They didn't get a PF S8 in the States... Where are you located? Why does it need to be a US rebuild kit, are you looking for strenthned internals, if so, check out 517 Trans in New Jersey, they build boxes that handle some real heavy duty torque.
