Double Ami

Is it possible to have two ami units in the glove box, I have read you can have two cd changers in there so was wondering if they were taken out could they be replaced with Ami's and have both appear in Mimi.

If it's possible I intend to run ami cable to phone cradle so I can mod iPhone 5 cradle to have ami functionality like the newer cars if possible.

Because we both drive the car, the cradle is for her phone and I don't particularly like her taste in music so would like another so I can plug in a hard drive with my music or my iPod for when I'm in it.

It would of course be easier to both have iPhone 5 but I ain't changing away from my htc, plus iTunes is the worst software in the world.

you still only need one AMI, just buy 2 different leads, all you need to do is flip down the little cover and slot a new lead in the socket

Don't see why you couldn't run two AMIs.. But do you need them.. not easier just to put some charging connections in and put all the music on the HDD?

I've got a pair of surface mount USB connections in the centre console cubby and a USB adapter hidden underneath, just plug in the appropriate cable and charge away

There is a gain for me, at the moment i have a cd changer and an ami that has ipod cable.

CD's are old hat and the missus is always asking me to burn them, most tedious..

If i can have two ami's than the missus can just choose her music stick it on the phone and its done.

So with the 1 ami brought out to the armrest she can have here phone charged access music if she wants.

If we are both in the car then I can connect to the other ami and charge my phone while hers is in the armrest cradle.

Thats assuming it can even be done of course.

I love this guy..... I wondered a couple of days ago if it were possible. I have no practical use for it, but my replaceent ami is due in a few days, so I'll rob the other one out of the q7 for a quick test and let you know.....
