Southeast caffeine-free micro-meet 7/3/15
Well Adrian and me to be precise in the Staines/Chertsey area about 10am today, arranged rather late yesterday.
 Met up so that I could acquire a part-worn Michelin PS2 255/35R20 tyre from him to use as a spare on my new FE 20's. Agreed a venue of the Red Lion in Thorpe which opens at 10am to "do the deal" then talk car crap over a coffee. No, opens at 11am despite what the web site says.  Headed for the Hungry Horse Twynersh, just over a mile away. Also opens at 11am.  So we just stood in the empty sunny car park, had a natter and headed off.  On a positive note (plug!) Adrian gave me an RNS-D navigation CD to try on different (even better) media than the last one I bought from him, which has had fairly regular "glitches" (read errors) though usually recoverable after an eject/reload. So far, so good - it's working fine.  Made some nice fresh real coffee, grinding the beans myself, when I got home. Every option (I think) except electric rear seats, Tiptronic steering wheel, ski hatch, towbar & dimming door mirrors. e.g. Cruise control, NavPlus/TV, Bose, GSM, Xenons, Solar roof, Parking sensors, Alcantara/leather everywhere of course. (internal dimming mirror added later)1998 (very early) Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec; ABS/TCS, Heated screen/mirrors, Aircon. Added Auto-dim mirror, Leather seats, Trip computer, Cruise control, OEM Ford SatNav with CD changer. And before that a lot of Rover 800s, a few oddities, a lovely Triumph Dolomite 1850HL with Overdrive and way back in my schooldays an Austin Seven aka Mini 850!
