To be fair to them they never really worried about justifying the cost of any thing,as long as the number is big ,i was sure mine were alu as well ,but as usual i could be wrong

Plenty of work in that ,did you buy a 2nd hand manifold ?,I did mine 18 months ago ( just carbon clean and valve cover gaskets and oil filter gasket when in there ),
