Not in Northern Ireland you can't! This is what we have to go through. First screenshot is when you first start the online process, and this was around 3:30pm. A six minute wait, after which it took another minute to access the next screen. The next two screenshots are all the locations of the test centres, and you can see for yourself when the next available slots are, with the earliest being the 20th May!

Coincidentally, my MOT expires on the 20th May, but I can't book it's more than three months away. What we have to do is as follows, which I've done for my brother as he's not all that IT literate. His MOT expires 21st March and the earliest I could book for him (at the start of January) was the 24th April. It's then a tedious process of accessing their website again, selecting 'change appointment' and then seeing if there are any cancellation dates sooner than 24th April, and hopefully one before 21st March. It's then a case of 'rinse and repeat' until you find one.

Our MOTs are done through the DVA, which is a government agency, so that sums up this shambles.
