Default S8 d3 4e Engine Mounts question

Hi folks, can anyone advise me on replacement engine mounts for my S8 d3? The Audi parts lift shows it could be a part: 4E099381FN as the right side replacement however, I believe there were considerations for an upgrade to do away with that style mount with the electrics etc…
Ps. I just replaced the torque mount which was sheared off where the rubber meets the mount body but it looks like the engine has dropped slightly anyway and there is a still a knock on that side. Any guidance welcome, cheers.

4E099381FN is the correct part number for the right one, with 4E099381FL being the left side. There isn't any superseded part numbers for either unfortunately.

The only 'upgrade' I've read about is more of a way of not throwing an error code, which is a resistor bypass, as mentioned in the following post:

https://forum.a8parts.co.uk/showpost...43&postcount=7

It won't however help if the engine mount has completely failed.

Thanks, ok so I’m looking for the OEM mounts only then. I’ll get in to that... do you know anyone that you can recommend to do this job or has an engine support frame that I can hire or loan? Cheers,

If the mounts have failed completely, then it's best to replace them. I don't know if aftermarket ones are available. If it's just a case of it throwing an error code, but the engine seems stable enough, then it might be worth contacting Audi about these bypass resistors, if they're available for the D3. It's obviously an option that they've chosen to use.

In terms of doing the job, it's all listed in the following PDF, starting from page 46:

https://forum.a8parts.co.uk/attachme...1&d=1420367102

I can't offer any suggestions on sources for tool hire or people to do the job as I'm in Northern Ireland, and I can't get anyone to do any work on my D2.
