Hello I want to see if anyone else has had a similar issue/nightmare on the 4.2tdi, I've had a maf sensor fault P1008 and sometimes P0101 for over a year onto my 7th sensor so Left and right are brand new and checked for boost leaks, symptoms car looses acceleration power after about 15mins running and the engine rev to 4300rpm but with slow acceleration. Turning the ignition off and on and the acceleration is back.
I've been trying to do some logging to further investigate the issue, what I have noticed is there's a around a 50c different between left and right pre turbocharger temperatures, could this cause the issue maybe and is the sensor in the turbochargers? any help appreciated thanks. Not familiar with diesels, but came across two threads that might be worth reading, if only to eliminate as a cause. They both refer to the turbo actuator being the culprit:
https://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/...den-Power-Loss This second thread never went anywhere, but there is an interesting comment about unplugging the actuator: https://www.audiworld.com/forums/a8-...-loss-2998936/
