Evening all,
So it appears the A8 has destroyed its aux belt tensioner. The car lost power steering mid-turn, parked up and found the aux belt sitting on top of the engine. I have checked the workshop manual, but I can't find any diagrams for the removal of the tensioner. Is this the case of a few bolts and it lifts out or is it more involved? Engine code is AKC Thanks James |

There are two tensioners, so I've highlighted the bolt in each to remove.
I got all my information from the following PDF in the D2 Tech dump thread. As you say, removal is just by undoing a single bolt, but use the PDF for torque settings: Service Manual 8-cylinder engine (3.7 ltr & 4.2 ltr 5-valve AQF, AQG, ARU, AUW, AVN, AVP, AKC, .pdf
