ive got a disc somewhere that you put into the CD drive and run, which brings up the full code of the unit and the last four digits are the code - worked fine on the RNS-e that david at A8 parts lent to me for a spell for an A3 I had, once I had got the old disc out of the drive! I was about to phone him the next morning to proudly proclaim that I had cracked it and he rang me first to tell me that he had found the manual and gave me the code from it - which was the same 4 digit code as I had cracked using the CD - might work if I can find the disc!!

Looks good, it will add far more than that to the value.
Once done, obviously update the picture on the listing (or start again, depending how the fees work).

Can you get a GPS aerial on it and get a picture of it in SAtNav mode? That would add value too. And include the disc (with photo if original) stating what year it is.

I think I have more than one spare original (but old) RNS-D disc; happy to post one to you if you can't find it - assuming I can!
Also definitely have a CD with the final (Nov 15 2001) RNS-D firmware, for the 0.05 mile resolution mapping, if it's older. Edit: Not so sure about the map disc; might even have sent it to you when swapping GPS units a while back, but can easily do a copy of 2003/4 version.
