Default Rear Arch chip protection.

Hi all.
My PPF original has much mold behind.
I would like to remove and replace as original.
Is this the correct part?

Yes, that's one side:
https://shops.audi.com/en_GB/web/tra...rd-4d0853931-9

And this is the other:
https://shops.audi.com/en_GB/web/tra...on-4d0853932-9

I'm not sure how clear they'll look after being stored for a possible 20+ years, but probably better than a set that have been sat on a car for 20+ years.

You can also ask around your local wrap/sign/window tinting companies if they can apply new clear paint protection film

Small areas like that shouldn’t be an issue to do it yourself….

Just need the material and make a rough template from the original while it’s on car

I noticed one side of mine was somewhat worn and shabby looking. Any idea of how we can remove the offending material?

In terms of DIY, I'd be inclined to just buy some PPF from eBay (other sources are available!), give that area a thorough cleaning and apply it myself.

Lets see how I get on...

Surely a bit of heat like with normal adhesive films should do the trick, get the hairdryer out

I looked at mine today and they’re a filthy mess lol

Will have to give that a go. Just been watching a few videos about PPF removal and suggestions are a heat gun or a steamer. I have both but might try my cheap steamer first.

then some white spirit followed with panel wipe.

Yep just not everyone got a heat gun or steamer so a hairdryer usually does the trick
