Sad news chaps, very sad.
I have just checked the SD card in my dash cam and for some reason it has deleted everything from before yesterday.
So no video of the meet. I am annoyed!! The main reason I purchased and fitted the thing was for the meet.
I am miffed, my Italian blood says "Screaming Mad", my French blood says "Run Away".
I could only now show you our return from Whitby, but who wants to see that?

Ray, I can recover the data from that. I'd need the SD card, PM me.

I had to learn after erasing wedding photos....

If its deleted, but the free space hasn't yet been overwritten it can likely be recovered from the SD card quite easily..... Plenty of undelete tools on the web.

Ray, one other sad possibility is that the dashcam has overwritten the footage from the meet. I have a 32GB card in my dashcam, and it takes about eight hours of footage. Once it's full, it starts overwriting the oldest files.

I reckon if we all club together and buy him one of these for the next meet, he should be able to keep up with the cars along the scenic drives too:

356mph! Even IT couldn't keep up with that in his RS6.

Thanks all.

I am computer literate and have used various recovery programmes, all without complete success. I now have the files, reporting correct size but garbled data.
The sticky pad failed and the camera dropped. SWMBO, bless her, tried to reconnect whilst we were mobile and put the power supply into the mic socket, then fumbled it putting it in the correct hole.
This caused multiple powerup/downs and corrupted the 128GB card.
I will now just reformat the card and start again.

Nice photies Conner, thank you. The footage from the drone is good too matey, did it take long to get your eye in with the controls? Have you tried flying it while riding in a car? I want to play with it.

Well done everyone, especially the organisers going from strength to strength each year. Nice to see that Audi made an effort this year too, so well done Audi for bring your wares.

Would have been nice to be there this year but for unfortunately (for me) it wasn’t possible this year prolly just as well for Marcin I wouldn’t want to embarrass him again while my doggy old D2 left him standing.

All seriousness looked like a cracking wk-end
