Wait until others have uploaded their photos and you'll see how great it was. Brilliant people, brilliant banter, brilliant organisation, brilliant driving and this year, brilliant weather. If you enjoy your S8, make it a date for the next annual meet, or one of the mini-meets if any are organised in your area.

Linda and I had a great weekend. So nice to meet up with a few of the die hards. Hopefully next year will be a bigger gang on scene.

Photo 1 Jim Clark's gravestone
Photo 2 Jim Clark Museum and introduction to Linda.
Photo 3 The second D4 to cross, Nick's.
Photo 4 Nick clearing the bridge.
Photo 5 Connor (all grown up now) trying for an early bath.
Photo 6 Last of the S8s to cross?
Photo 7 Waiting to pose in front of Foot Castle.
Photo 8 Posing at the castle.
Photo 9 I had to include at least one with an interloper.

Why do some photos lie down?

As already said by others, a very big thanks to the organisers.

After leaving Kelso, Linda and I visited Gilnockie Tower.
This is my ancestral home, where we used to gather before raiding England.

Got back last night after a tootle up to Dundee for a couple of nights, and a long return journey that ended with a spirited drive through the High Peaks. Three years in and this car still amazes.

Guys (Brian, David & Stephen)
Great big thanks from Ann and me for putting together such an enjoyable and memorable weekend. You created a fantastic package of accommodation, drives, visits and experiences.

I knew that we were missing out as each year passed without getting together, but I didn't know just how much until we finally did get together, and the booze began to flow along with the banter and all the catching up. It was fun, all of it.

And now for the next one .....

Default Great photos

Wow! Now that's the difference that having a proper camera (and some skills.. ..) makes .

Thanks for uploading/sharing these Nick - it's less than a week since this finished, and I can't wait till the next one (partly 'cos I'll - hopefully! - be able to both properly prep and drive my car with two working arms ...)
