If it helps mercedes w210 has the same servotronic valve as a D2 and also vauxhall omega if you can find one.

I've seen new ZF copies of the valve on Aliexpress too: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005...d=8i80owB7tXcz

That is almost exactly the listing I used! Note the 2 pictures. one on the left is the one needed and one on the right is one I got.. I'm not sure why there are 2 different parts here. Video shows correct but I thought maybe they were selling both or contrasting them somehow.

Thanks for the w210 reference!

https://www.pelicanparts.com/More_In...W210&DID=46955
but out of stock here and everywhere sofar..

I stumbled on this. NOT a direct match but connector is right. "snout" possibly too long but if I machined a ring to adapt it?? The upper hole is in a position that might allow for it. Mounts down low on the rack making an adapter easier.. best part..PLENTIFUL and CHEAP!

Says works with Mercedes E320 2004-2005/ E350 2006-2012/ E500 2004-2006

So a hacker crippled the entire postal system?

Hi Christopher,

I am sorry that you did not receive an automated email. We are still holding your parcel ready for dispatch due to being requested by UK Royal Mail not to dispatch any Airmail parcels. A cyber attack on the Royal Mail system by a suspected Russian-linked ransomware gang has caused severe delays, and we are monitoring the situation hourly in the hope that we get the go-ahead to ship our parcels.

The latest update today 26th January is that Royal Mail has relaunched its exporting service on a limited basis to move the backlog of parcels that built up during the period immediately after the attack (9th January to 13th January).

Please accept our apologies for the situation. Unfortunately we have no alternative service for cost-effective shipping so must ask you to please allow us as much time as you are able. If you would prefer a refund at this time then ofcourse we can offer this immediately.

Kind regards,

Andy

Yep pretty much. We have no functioning international postal service at the moment, incoming or outgoing. I have a bunch of stuff just sitting here waiting to go as well while they work through the backlog. Domestic post is still working fine so it appears the hackers only got to part of their network.

The usual couriers - UPS, Fedex, etc are still working obviously, but they are much more expensive than the postal service. It would cost about the same as the solenoid (£40GBP / $50USD) for the cheapest Fedex economy service. Royal Mail is probably 1/3 of that.

Checking Royal Mail's web site, they seem to have removed the banner giving updates on the hack, so things might be moving again in the next few days

Not sure about the rest of the UK, but in NI, the posties are only delivering packages during the week, and letters on a Sunday (which they've never delivered on). Was told by a postie that it's to try and get rid of the backlog of packages following the strikes, as they can't move in the sorting offices. Let's hope no one is expecting an urgent or important letter.
