So I decided to go with Meyle HD parts for the front suspension overhaul, which I bought (new) from our sponsors a couple of months ago.

Prestige were able to source a D2 Meyle HD kit for me and substitute the correct rear lower arms for my FE (20inch factory-fit wheels). Unfortunately, when my garage started to fit the parts today, it seems that the front lower arms don't fit (they tell me the ball-joint taper is smaller than on the old arms)

These are the part numbers of the Meyle parts that Prestige supplied:

2 x 116 060 0006 - Stabiliser Links
2 x 116 020 0008/HD - Tie Rod Ends
2 x 116 050 0031/HD - Front Lower Arms
2 x 116 050 8239/HD - Front Upper Arms
1 x 116 050 8292/HD - Rear Upper Arm (Left)
1 x 116 050 8293/HD - Rear Upper Arm (Right)

1x 116 050 0139/HD - Rear Lower Arm (Left)
1x 116 050 0140/HD - Rear Lower Arm (Right)

For reference, these are the alternative rear lower arms for non-20" wheel cars I believe (not supplied):

1x 116 050 8299/HD - Rear Lower Arm (Left)
1x 116 050 8300/HD - Rear Lower Arm (Right)

So presumably the front lower arms (116 050 0031/HD) should also have been substituted with arms that are unique to the FE?

I've dropped Prestige an email this evening. I'm hoping they can source the correct arms and replace them. Does anyone have the part number of the correct Meyle HD arms?

This was the kit I received. The incorrect arms are labelled #9 in the kit:
