Default 2014 Charity Mooch-Fest

Guys (and Ladies),

Once more, I'm after your money.. Though not for me, it's once more for Prostate Cancer UK. Myself and my fellow Hairy Test Cycles are off around Tummel Valley on the Étape Caledonia (81 miles of scenic countryside), and also the Étape Loch Ness (67 miles of scenic countryside). As with last year, we're supporting Prostate Cancer UK.

Couple of wee reminders as to why it's a worthy cause:

Across the UK
  • Prostate Cancer is the most common cancer in men.
  • Every hour one man dies from prostate cancer - that's more than 10,000 every year.
  • Over 40,000* men are diagnosed with prostate cancer every year - that's more than 100* men diagnosed every day.
  • It's estimated that by 2030, prostate cancer will be the most common cancer.
  • One in eight men will get prostate cancer.
  • Over a quarter of a million* men are living with and after prostate cancer.
  • Two out of three adults don't know what the prostate gland does.

So if you could pop along to http://justgiving.com/THTC2014 and bung us a few quid, that would be magic, thanks.

Same here, please everyone give what you can for a fantastic cause. I've stuck the thread to keep it at the top. Good luck with the challenge to you all Richard

Hope you do well, though I won't be sponsoring you specifically as I already support PCUK as it's what got my dad.

Done. £1.00 for every mile you plan on cycling. Pity I didn't live in Scotland, as I could join you. My very best friend was diagnosed with Prostrate cancer a few years ago. Unfortunately for him (and his family), it's been very aggressive.

A very worthy cause indeed, so please people, donate.

BTW If donating, remember the Gift Aid part. I'm not in a position to use the Gift Aid.
