Will be interesting although I get a gut feel from the advert (just reading it is enough) that it's nowhere near as well looked after as mine, previous owner to me was a Doctor who owned it for many years.

Can understand the "too much" view - and maybe I need to manage my expectations... we will see, I'm a realist rather than someone that gets offended

The car is being used as a deposit for my wife's replacement car - the A8 is great but too long and low for the country/village lanes she uses all day - so a good offer wouldn't be refused in reality.

Pretty sad watching this. I missed out on buying this from Oli when he had it up for sale at £9.5k. It has now been listed four times by the current owner. The first reached £6.5k but didn't reach the reserve. There were no bids when listed at £7k and then £6.5k, and now it's on without a reserve.

That's interesting as mine has really good provenance and an independent people could call to verify - yet as is (with bumper scrape and alloys needing a refurb) if someone said they'd give me £7500 I'd take it. I know full well it's better than that blue car

That's the problem with eBay - it's not a good place to sell cars with decent provenance.

Without doubt you need to add some photos of the car.

That will make the difference between a good car that may not have been loved in recent months on eBay and yours.

That one went to £6.5K last time and didn't hit reserve. Personally if I was the seller i'd have bitten the highest bidders hand off!!!
It then went up at £7k and obviously didn't do much......I'd expect high fives, low six.

I've been loosely in the looking for an upgrade market for a year or two and haven't seen anything to make me that excited!

High priced S8's are in decent D4 territory and High priced A8's are in S8 territory. There are a lot of decent A8's out there for not much money because a lot of people don't want the high running costs or big barges once they get higher mileage and older.

My PF A8 sport petrol (lpg) 4.2 with OK spec (175k) is probably not worth much (£2k-£4) and much as i'd like B&O....

Good to get some advice pushing the price down on an ad... thanks

Maybe recommend itís only worth 3 grand and that way itíll completely kill the ad

Joking aside, itís a great spec, not an ok one, fabulous engine, and very few people keep their cars as well maintained and serviced as I do so hereís hoping someone sensible comes along that can see the value..... Iím realistic so will take a good offer.

Wow! Sale price from £9.5k to £5.6k in under 18 months, with just one additional owner.
