Carbon Ceramic part numbers
Hi all,
I need to replace my rear pads on the S8 that has carbon ceramic brakes. I have Carista to wind back the calipers so that issue is sorted, however I am struggling to actually find a part number or pad that is safe to use with the carbon discs. I have messaged TPS but I haven't got a reply in a few days. Thank you in advance!

OEM part number for the rear pads are 4E0698451A or superseded version 4E0698451C.

Go with OEM. I only found one other manufacturer (possibly Febi?) which was supposedly for ceramic brakes but at £40 a set it seemed too cheap and I was nervous about using them. In the end, genuine pads were fitted and considering the originals lasted about 10 years I can't moan at the cost.

Hi All,
Just to confirm, after hearing that Audi wanted nearly £600 just for set of rear pads, I shopped around a little, after speaking to a few motorsport companies and pagid themselves. It turns out pagid make a pad that is safe/applicable for ceramics, the code is 8039 RSC1. I managed to get them for just under £260 in the end, I will get the retaining clips and screws from audi as they were only around £30 total.

Your dealer seems to be charging a lot for those! I must admit, Audi/TPS have put up their prices ALOT over the last 2 years. I paid £322 2 years ago and they are now £489 on ETKA which is around 50% more and extortionate. The pagid part number may be useful in the future

Normally, softer organic pads are also compatible with CCB rotors, as they are softer than OEM pads for CCB rotors. The drawbacks are they fade when racing and do not last as long, but they (should) be better for rotor wear.
