MMI screen not fully retracting..
Hi.
Has anyone performed the repair to resolve the jumping/not retracting screen on a D4? Is it just the same as a D3 - replacing the cogs with metal ones? Is it any easier or more difficult than a D3? Thanks

There seems to be a lot of dismantling involved in just removing the screen from the dash going by this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HK0hpSDa0Dw In terms of changing the gears, the only video I could find is a speeded up one with some spoken Chinese instructions and a loud song being played. Person videoing it is all over the place and the person doing the work isn't exactly making it look easy. If nothing else, it's worth a look to see what's involved.
