1. The pump for the windscreen wipers sit lower than the headlight washer pump, so if you're getting water through them, then you should be getting it to the windscreen.
2. When I put mine all back together again, it took a while to get the water to the windscreen. I ran it for about 5 seconds each time, then waited for the wipers to stop, and then repeated the process several times. I was beginning to think that the new pump wasn't working, but it was fine.
3. If the grommets are leaking, you'd see the obvious signs of it below the car.
