2002 S8 - 17476 Intake Air Swtich-Over Valve (N335) Open Circuit

As the title states, I have a 2002 S8 with this code being reported by VCDS. I cannot for the life of me from endless searching discover where exactly to check for this sensor. Please help.

I'm guessing from this fault that you're in the US, possibly California, since Euro cars don't have N335 as far as I can tell from the reference material.

There is provision in the air filter box on some models for it to take a warm air feed from the inlet manifold to aid with engine warm-up. There would be a vacuum valve and likely an associated solenoid to control it. From your description I suspect N335 may control that, in which case I think the first place to start is to see if you do indeed have this feature on the airbox and start following vacuum hoses.

Thank you for the help. I will do some more investigating when I make it home tonight. In the meantime I posted a thread as requested with a few pictures of said car.
