Rear centre console removal
I should know, as I’ve done this before, but how does the bit of trim, where the rear ciggy lighter and central vents are, come off? I’ve dropped the pivot for the handbrake cover trim down there! I suspect some gorilla tried to force the arm rest down with the handbrake on and broke it.

The wood trim just pops out. You can get a small flat screwdriver under it and lever it out. The vent unit then has two philips screws holding it to the console.

Ah, yes, there are a couple of little ‘niblets’ at the lower edge of the trim that I got a plastic trim tool into and out it popped. I managed to retrieve the plastic ‘pivot’ (a yellow white cylindrical bit of plastic) but can’t work out how it fits back into place. And it’s too cold here to try fiddling about with it - my frozen fingers will just drop it back again!
If anyone can be bothered to post a diagram of how this fits together, I’d be very grateful. I know it’ll be here somewhere, but I’m hopeless at finding anything!

Thanks Sean. That's the area that I'm after, but the thing I'm talking about doesn't seem to be there! It's not item 18; it looks a bit like item 14, but it's not that either. It fits into the slot on item 1, allowing it to move backwards and forwards with the handbrake movement.
