![]() I've tried both units, with and without batteries and with both speakers in turn. The original talks happily to the car and enjoys new batteries when fitted, but won't drive either speaker (they have the same connection). The later one loses communication with the car triggering the alarm. It works with either speaker. Without batteries it still sounds but throws battery voltage errors of course. ![]() So if anyone coming to the meet in June happens to have an old spare alarm siren kicking around I'll happily relieve you of it and see what I find inside. ![]() (Original 8L0 951 605 or later 8L0 951 605A)

Every option (I think) except electric rear seats, Tiptronic steering wheel, ski hatch, towbar & dimming door mirrors. e.g. Cruise control, NavPlus/TV, Bose, GSM, Xenons, Solar roof, Parking sensors, Alcantara/leather everywhere of course. ![]() 1998 (very early) Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec; ABS/TCS, Heated screen/mirrors, Aircon. Added Auto-dim mirror, Leather seats, Trip computer, Cruise control, OEM Ford SatNav with CD changer. And before that a lot of Rover 800s, a few oddities, a lovely Triumph Dolomite 1850HL with Overdrive and way back in my schooldays an Austin Seven aka Mini 850!
