Hi All,
I think it's about time that I brought you up to date.
We had planned to meet up with you on the Saturday evening, but my health decided otherwise.
Nothing for you to worry about.
After the stroke I find that I tire very quickly, not as badly as at first but I have to be careful.
The broken ankle is a bigger problem. The two breaks in my foot appear to have healed, but the split at the bottom of my fibula is still wide open. I visited the fracture clinic in the week before the annual meet and was seen by the consultant. He gave me the news that they don't want to screw and plate it because of my age and gave me an appointment on 23rd December. In real terms, "grin and bear it".
My apologies that we failed to show up.

No need to apologise Ray. Your health comes first, and although there are times when you really want to do something, you have to bite the bullet and say no. Better firing on all eight cylinders. Sincerely hope that the next appointment is only for a check-up.
