Yup.. The newer ones are 66mm and the older ones are 57mm. Pretty sure the D4 is the new size, and D3 the old one.

You are correct. Options would be bore out the wheels, buy spacers/adaptors or just get another wheel - I chose the latter for my winter rims

Spacers could be a good option as you'll need them because the D3 wheel offset are around ET45 and the D4 usually around ET35. So 10-15mm spacer that goes from 66 > 57 bore is the ideal adapter. Easily machined if there isn't an off the shelf item.

Hi folks,
Thank you for your responses. The answer is no, unless you change bore diameter. Regards Richard

Yes I kept hold of my FE D2 wheels that were on my D3 hoping I could fit them. But alas....should get round to selling them I suppose because they aren't going to fit any better the longer I wait

FWIW - selling D3 wheels and buying a D4 set wasn't far off cost neutral for me, selling in the UK and buying from ebay.de

Yeah I got a good deal on a set of Leptons refurbished 21" rotors. The 19's it came with are in great nick and have winter tyres on so a swap anytime soon is in the offing. I wheeled the FE's into the garage and there they currently reside, even got a brand new set of genuine centres for them before I checked if they would fit
