That's great I'll get both on order 😊 I take it these are Audi part numbers?

Yeah, the cam covers you can find aftermarket easily enough using that number. Reinz or Elring are good.

The gearbox seal as far as I know is genuine only, but you can get them from Prestige on ebay here: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/174237375392

Right so I've ordered the gearbox rear seal, all the front suspension arms, a pair of boot struts so getting there slowly. Just got to try and find a gearbox service kit, rocker cover gaskets as can only seem to get hold of the 40v version.
Can't wait to get started getting it back to its old self.

Cam cover gasket is here: https://www.autodoc.co.uk/reinz/980359

Gearbox filter and gasket is here: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/391396236298

Mannol AG52 is good ATF - its cheap and the gearboxes respond well to it. Plenty of that on ebay. I think its about 6 litres for a filter change. You'll need a tool like the Sealey VS70095 to refill afterwards.

Thanks mate that's great.
I ordered the boot struts, rear gearbox seal, and bulb holder from a8 parts yesterday lunch time and received them around 11am today, now that's service.
I have ordered the suspension arms they should be here Tuesday, also got the cam gaskets on order now from autodoc hopefully should be with me soon just going to go order the gearbox filter and should be almost ready to get cracking and get it back on the road.
I really appreciate everyone's help.

Ps any tips or anything I should watch out for when doing the above work? Cheers simon

Which arms have you bought? The Meyle kit comes with the wrong nuts for the balljoints so you need to buy the right ones if thats what you have.

The silver-green one is for alloy uprights, which is what Meyle comes with. Those nuts don't fit the steel uprights so you need the black ones instead. The black ones are 4D0407644A or Febi 15905.

Also, most kits come with the wrong pinch bolt for the upper arms, so check what you have vs what comes out. We can deal with numbers for that depending on what you have.

I went for a kit off eBay which was cheap for now to get me through the mot then I'm going to get a proper genuine kit or like you say a meyle kit.

This is the kit

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/203928181...mis&media=COPY

Would I be able to use existing nuts for now ? Or are they single use?
