Quote from Ian@A8Parts in Introductions - Greetings from Heathrow:
So, for the time being get to know her and i'd lurve to see the A380 go by - That must be a sight..... Wonder how many near misses that causes on the west section of the M25 Well Ian, It is sight. I've been to Farnborough for the last two airshows and it's been there both times. It's amazing machine!!! While I was fixing my seatbelt today (see post) I took a couple of snaps for your viewing pleasure. Sorry about the detail though, my camera was set to low-res!! I also found this: http://www.aviationexplorer.com/a380_facts.htm |

I didn't think much too it when it landed next to me when I was on the perimiter road. I think because it is still in proportion you don't tend to notice it. I still like the boeings best they look more purposeful somehow.

I know what you mean Tony I have a soft spot for the 747-400M just looks special. I suppose if Airbus had designed the "look" to be different (which of course they wouldn't due to costs etc) ,then some people would have had more to moan about; this way they can get IRRC 850 cattle class seats in and try to blend it into the rest of the fleet.
![]() Both these aircraft are dwarfed by the Antonov AN-225
