Seems to be sitting much lower at the front - so I'm hoping that'll narrow things down! Will try to have a look later today. Thanks.

Fingers crossed it's something easy and not a blown shocker (though A8parts have them in).

OK - had a listen and can definitely hear something at the front - will need to wait for tomorrow to jack her up and have a look. Rear sounds fine.
Incidentally, I have often noticed a hissing noise from the front when getting out of the car and assumed that it was the system venting pressure on shutdown - I assume then that it's NOT normal? ![]() Last edited by Stuarta; 15th January 2012 at 01:30 PM. |

Could be... I thought it was just releasing the pressure in the system to reduce component strain.

'morning all - just had a go at investigating this further - with little luck. Unable to get my trolley jack under the car when it's in the garage (not enough room under the car) so had to place one corner on the kerb to be able to jack it up and remove the wheel - which then forces the system to disable itself (all options greyed out), making troubleshooting somewhat impossible!
I've managed to narrow it down to the front right corner (LHD car) but can't figure out a way to get access with the system activated to look further. Compressor is definitely still going and the only faults recurring are the leak in system and lower limit exceeded. Any suggestions before I am forced to take her to the stealers? Cheers. |
