Loose trim
Took it all out and refitted it today and all is good. It turned out to be a bit of trim in the channel had popped out. Thanks for you excellent advice.

I also remved the mounting panel underneath, but not sure if this is actaully necessary.
Tool wise, youll need various torx drives and a star drive (either M10 or 12 from memory) for the screws 4,5,6,7 in the diagram. You do need to remove the outer door seal, which is glued to the door at the top. I used a trim tool to unclip the clips first before breaking the glue so that i didnt tear any of the rubber. I would also get a few replacement door clips a s you will break one or two, and make sure that you "reset" the clips prior to refitting as they wont go through the mounting holes otherwise and make sure the seals are fully seated around the window.

thanks for that.
and ive got a full torx/star set from machine mart so ill be ok with tool the side of things lol. its the technical bit but the diagram looks straight forward enough and i got little brothers that has patitence so yeh im sorted lol. and the seal is it just the top? or is the actual whole door seal from the outside glued on?

The seal is the one that goes up the side of the door that is glued, at the top Near screws 5 and 6, it is continuous over he top of the window frame so you will need to pull it out from the frame to release it, or at least that is what i did.
