Is there not a frame that goes with the ski hatch that would match up with the lugs on the metal bar you have?

If you take a look directly upwards from the base of the ski hatch opening in the boot (the underside of the parcel shelf in effect) there is a couple of slits in the metal where the gold piece of steel will slot into (apply a little pressure to bend it slightly so it will snap into position)

This will then line up with the magnet so that when the hatch is in use it keeps the cover up and out of the way.

Hope this helps :-)

Yep, I knew it should be there, just don't understand where the gold piece should slot to May I ask for a picture please or would it be too much?

OK, found a couple of pictures where that bracket is visible:

Will give it another try today.

With those pictures I managed to install the bracket in place. Thanks everyone.

No Perhaps maybe because I've got FL and the metal bar is for the pre-FL...
