the part numbers on this are very similar will this be ok ? this item part number is 8T0 057 785 you say this number (4E0 057 785F) Alt (8T0 035 785 A) do the 4EO and 8TO make any difference ?

That's the CAN-Bus version for 'lesser' Audis.. You need the 'MOST' version
A 5 minute job to swap.. and you may be better swapping it with the left hand side CD changer just in case you have the short glovebox.
