So to understand this - if I opt for the OEM Audi DVB tuner, it replaces the analogue one completely - as in it doesn't have to go through the OEM analogue tuner's AV inputs?

Sorry to hijack thread, but how easy would it be for me to fit the DVB tuner into my 2009 D3? It doesn't have TV, but it does have the DAB tuner and also the DVD player in the front glove box that plays DVDs onto the MMI screen. Is DVB-T a plug in job or no?

Should be plug and play... Not sure if there's a difference between the MMI2G and 3G versions though (if you have a joystick on top of the mail knob you have MMI3G).

Sorry to jump on this (assuming anyone is still looking at it now)

I bought the Audi tuner and the wiring from Kufatec for my D3, it doesn't have TV atm so this will be a complete retrofit.

Just wondering if anyone knows how easy/hard it is to fit myself. Is it just a case of mount the module, connect relevant cabling and away we go, or am I being naïve?

I did have a quick scour to see if there was a DIY guide for this but couldn't see one.

Cheers.

I thought if you change the mmi module to the 3G one you can install a dvd changer in the glove box and it also has SD card readers built in to it as well ? But only on 3G

thats an expensive route, you would need to change most of the modules in the car, i know craigyb did it a few years ago , costs a fortune
