IMPORTANT AITP NEWS!! Please share as many times as possible on Facebook, Twitter and any forums! 1) tickets are PER CAR! 2) tickets will be available on the gate at £10 per car 3) the world record attempt will NOT take place on show day. It has been moved to early next year. 4) it might rain (bring a brolly) 5) once inside the main gate follow the 3ft x 2ft signs to the show field. 6) once again I have been let down by cateters but there are other food outlets on site. 7) it might rain (bring some Wellies) 8) the AITP magazine will be available from the AITP merchandise stand. 9) the magazine is FREE but if you want to donate anything a donations bucket will be there. 10) magazines are one per person and on a first come first served basis. 11) it might rain ( get over it ) your car is waterproof 12) turn up, enjoy the cars and company and at the end of the day, drive safely home! Wimping out of this tomorrow...
…as I can't really argue (with myself!) that driving 3 hours in the rain to this event is worth it for the potential of then standing in the rain for (most of) the rest of the day, no matter how good your company is, and to then face worse driving conditions back to Manchester again….
 Call me a wimp, but I'll get a better return from the upcoming Classic Show next weekend at Tatton Park (3 miles away). If I'd not seen a number of you already this summer, it might be more worth the trek, but as it stands, it ain't. For those of you who do make it, enjoy, and take pictures to make me jealous! 1. Polestar performance "optimisation". (Even rarer than a D2 S8!) Oh, and a brand new engine at just under 30,000 miles on the factory one!  Finally: gone, but not forgotten..... 1998 D2 PF S8. Agate Grey/Platinum. Every option (I think) except electric rear seats, Tiptronic steering wheel, ski hatch, towbar & dimming door mirrors. e.g. Cruise control, NavPlus/TV, Bose, GSM, Xenons, Solar roof, Parking sensors, Alcantara/leather everywhere of course. (internal dimming mirror added later)1998 (very early) Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec; ABS/TCS, Heated screen/mirrors, Aircon.
