Learn something new every day.
I had no idea any 8's had infra-red remotes for the central locking.

One thought ... have you managed to confirm the fob is working and transmitting?
I have one of these for testing RF fobs, but it works with IR remotes/fobs too: http://www.amazon.co.uk/AP-WorkShop-...CSI/ref=sr_1_2 That listing was the cheapest. Seems to be in stock, though it does state 'discontinued'. There's plenty of them on Ebay though: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Gunson-770...-/130765564405 Or any IR tester should do. You can sometimes use a video camera to test IR transmitters too, assuming the camera is sensitive to IR (many are).

I have 3 of them keys so im assuming at least one should work!! Cheers for the link though
Reading the book, each key programs each drivers: Seat position Headrest position Seatbelt position Steering wheel position How cool is that, to see all those things move about when you open the car!! |

It's certainly is. I've had that ('memory seat') feature on all my 8s. It's great, especially when someone else has moved everything (such as a garage mechanic) to watch it all go back automatically as you open the door!
![]() The system has to be switched on for it to work though (the red on/off switch in the driver's door)
